Water Wizard FAQ

Problem:
Cars are not coming clean.

Solution:
This can be caused by a myriad of factors. Check the following:
1. The alkaline heater should be set at 120 degrees, no higher
2. Low and High pH solutions may be mixing from backflow. Verify the D454P valve is operating correctly on the back of the tank. Verify the check valves are operating correctly on the back of the tank.

Problem:
The boom does not drop.

Solution:
1. The stainless steel rods need cleaning. If the guide rails are dirty, the boom may not lower evenly and cause it to hang up. Do not grease the boom. Instead, spray with WD40, then wipe down. This should be done every 2 weeks.
2. The photo eyes are dirty/clouded. They should be cleaned weekly.
3. A Boom Down has not been programmed in the recipe. Verify the recipe.

Problem:
The 25 HP motor is tripping out.

Solution:
1. Starter/Contactor may need replacement. If you can manually push it on, it is likely in need of replacement.
2. Loose wiring on the motor or in the panel.
3. If you have an onboard dryer, verify the breaker is 125 amp.
4. Bad motor winding, typically indicated by consistent failures, not random.

Problem:
The undercarriage wash shuts down early.

Solution:
1. Program timer is set too short.
2. Water spray is interferring with the eyes. Angle the spray bar forward.

Problem:
The Smart Nozzle is not turning or turning improperly.

Solution:
1. The belt should be barely tight enough to stay on. Too tight will cause problems.

Problem:
The boom is dropping when it should not.

Solution:
1. In the program there is a selector for "Last Pass Boom Drop". Check this to be set at 0 for no boom drop.

Problem:
The wash does not start.

Solution:
1. The customer drove into the bay before getting a green light. Reset the wash.

Problem:
The exit door stays open.

Solution
1. Debris is blocking the photo eye treadle plate.
2. The eye has failed/has moisture in it.

Problem:
The dryer does not activate.

Solution:
1. Verify the Red Lion has been programmed to activate the dryer.

Problem:
Procon pumps are failing.

Solution:
1. If the check valve on the Gantry is missing or defective, air blow out can travel back in the lines and deprime the pump.

Problem:
The recirculating presoak tank is overflowing.

Solution:
1. The D454P valves is stuck open or has foreign matter in the diaphragm.
2. Both low and high pH pumps are running at the same time due to a wiring or programming fault.
