The Microcoin QL may be programmed to work in virtually any configuration you require. There are three ways you can achieve this. 1. It can be pre-programmed in the factory, or 2. It can be hand-programmed by you using its advanced on-board programming options or 3. It can have complete program data downloaded to it using the microprocessor controlled Micromate hand-held programmer. Once programmed, changes can be made to the validator setup using either of the on-board or Micromate programming options. |

Factory Programming During production, each validator is individually programmed to ensure it operates at its optimum level. Standard country configurations are downloaded into the validator and the units are programmed with the appropriate coins. Each unit is then labelled and tested before being packaged. |

On-Board Programming - Quick Learn TM Once in the field, it may become necessary to adjust the operation of the validator. There are a number of key parameters which you can access via the on-board programming facility. What you are permitted to access is dependent upon the industry you are working into. Validators specially set up for the Gaming industry only have the facility to enable and disable coins due to the strict security measures surrounding the Gaming industry. Validators set up for any other application have the flexibility of on-board coin programming in addition to enabling and disabling coins.

Micromate The hand-held Micromate programmer is a fully featured device which allows access to the programmable features of the Microcoin QL. It also provides the facility to transfer coin programming information from validator to validator. The Micromate has a multi-line LCD display which prompts you through the features which are available. These include : - Enabling/Disabling coins - Programming new coins - Downloading complete coin configuration - Adjusting programmable parameters - Diagnostics |
